Children are so fun. It's so nice to be able to do things with them and having family time together. However, there are times when children need to play independently so that Mom and Dad can get important things done. Whether for work, dinner, clean the house, or just have a quiet moment to oneself, to teach children to be creative and play by themselves is very important.

Creativity can be taught at an early age, as small as 2 years. Babies can be taught color under supervision, to pretend with her favorite toys, or how to make simple puzzles. Starting young will open a whole new world for them as they grow and encourage learning and creative play.

Children at the age of 3 can be taught how use washable markers and coloring books or paper scratch to create their own designs. It will not be long until they are in you giving artwork to display throughout the house. Age 3 is also a great age to start introducing Dress up play. Dress Up Costumes provide an outlet for girls and boys to explore fun and exciting situations outside the house and pretend and be creative.

Size 4-6 may be the best time in childhood. Children this age are going to preschool or kindergarten and begin to become independent. Encourage independence by having blocks of time where they have free play and can obtain extra energy by playing creatively with toys, or even reading books.

Reading books can be an activity perfect for ages 6 and older. Many children get carried away in the plot of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs or the fiction of other children or non-fiction. If your child loves trucks, get him a book on the trucks and see the magic begins!

As children grow, the more involved with their friends, but you can still encourage fun activities and unique invite their friends in their own homes, so you know they are in a safe environment and you can keep an eye on what they do and what their friends are like.

For example, a family hosting a movie night at home every weekend and invites neighbors and school friends to come and eat popcorn and snacks and enjoy a movie together. Another family invited friends from church over for breakfast every morning before school. It is a great success and parents and kids enjoy it very much.

Teenagers love to party. Some parents are willing to host parties for adolescents and their friends with well-planned and healthy. If you want to host a dance, a royal ball is an excellent idea. Children can come dressed as their favorite prince and princess costumes and you could play old world or classical music. They could dance together and listen good music and be exposed to the label and be polite.
